This hull, designed by J&J, is constructed of hand-laid fiberglass, with Kevlar reinforcement at the bow to prevent punctures and, except below the waterline, an Airex foam core. A full-width stainless steel plate under the mast compression post further reinforces the fiberglass lattice system. Stainless steel plates are also attached to this lattice, making it a very rigid and solid structure. The fittings are directly connected to the laminated stainless steel plates on the deck.
