Cantiere del Pardo keeps the hull in the mold for 10 days, while he assembles the iron structure, adjusts the daggerboard and rudder, installs the engine, electricity and plumbing, assembles the interiors and laminates the deck. This system eliminates any type of subsequent torsion in the hole assembly.
The hull is made up of 12 layers of unidirectional fabric with vinylester resin and isophthalic gel coat. The iron structure takes central beam where the mast, daggerboard and engine sit. With 5 transverse reinforcements, where the bulkheads sit. A stainless reinforcement joins the standing rigging to this structure. The deck is laminated to the hull with epoxy resin. All the deck fittings are screwed to previously laminated stainless steel plates on the deck.
On this way, a solid, robust and compact set is achieved, which defines the characteristics in navigation, and the durability of this boat.

Elquetoudou is our pride and also a second home. It has been a family boat since day 1 when it was built for Patricia and Daniel at the Grand Soleil Cantieri del Pardo, Forli, in 2000.
